As a 501(c)(6) non-profit, The West Nassau Chamber exists to empower, connect, and advocate for the businesses and communities of Hilliard, Callahan, and Bryceville. Through strategic partnerships, local engagement, and a commitment to economic growth, we champion a vibrant, unified West Nassau where businesses thrive and residents prosper.
Historically Callahan and Hilliard each had their Chambers both starting in early 1900’s the Chambers merged in 1969 to create West Nassau Chamber.
In 2018, The Greater Nassau County Chamber of Commerce (westside) merged with the Nassau Chamber of Commerce (eastside) requesting continuity of services/event and fair representation of West Nassau County.
From 2018 to 2025 we observed the positive impact of professional community events such as the West Side Business Leadership Prayer Breakfast, which has brought together leaders to foster collaboration, growth, and shared vision. This grassroots momentum has demonstrated that there is a strong desire for focused leadership and advocacy that reflects the unique challenges and opportunities faced by businesses on the rural side of our county.
Rural areas of our county have seen significant development in recent years, with businesses expanding and new industries emerging. Our Chamber believes rural businesses and non-profits need a voice as growth continues. More targeted support, enhanced community engagement, and stronger representation in countywide discussions must exist for the success of our small business community- The West Nassau Chamber of Commerce is the chamber best positioned to foster these activities.
