Mike Cole is a dedicated public servant and proud advocate for the Nassau County community. As Commissioner for the Nassau County Ocean Highway and Port Authority (District 5), Mike brings decades of leadership, experience, and civic involvement to every role he holds.
He has served in a variety of leadership capacities, including Chairman of the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, Past Chair of Keep Nassau Beautiful, and Past Chair and Member of the Nassau County Economic Development Board. His passion for community growth is evident in his service as President of the Westside Republican Club, Member of American Legion Post 401, and active involvement in multiple advisory boards and foundations throughout the county.
Mike is also a proud member and supporter of organizations such as the Westside Optimist Club, Callahan Lions Club, Nassau Educational Foundation, NCSB Citizens Millage Oversight Committee. Blue Shield Family Foundation, Barnabas, Starting Point Behavioral, and the Council on Aging, and A1A Ocean Island Trail Corridor Advisory Board. He continues to volunteer with NCSO Emergency Management, Joy to the Children, Relay for Life, and has mentored youth through Take Stock in Children. Mike also supports scholarship efforts as the Westside Outreach Coordinator for the U.S. Constitution Scholarship Foundation.

Amanda Bishop is the publisher and editor of the Nassau County Record, western Nassau County's original source for news and sports, which began publishing in 1930. Amanda has worked at the newspaper since July 2005 and has won more than 30 awards from the Florida Press Association. Amanda was raised in South Bend, Indiana and graduated with a bachelor's degree in print journalism from Franklin College in 2001. She began her career at a daily newspaper in Indiana as its education and religion reporter. She then briefly moved to New York, writing for a newspaper there before relocating to Florida.
Amanda lives in Callahan with her two sons and is proud to call Nassau County home. She volunteers with the Callahan Community Dinner, Be the Change Northeast Florida and is a proud founding member of the West Nassau Chamber.

Hello, my name is Cody Callahan I am 38 years old, I have lived in Nassau County Fl all my life, my early years were spent in Yulee and Fernandina Beach Fl. playing sports before moving to Hilliard my sophomore year where I attended Hilliard Middle Senior High school and played baseball until graduating in 2005, after graduation I started my journey in the HVAC trade. I have been servicing our community for over 20 years with multiple contractors learning my craft, and have enjoyed every minute! Now in 2024 I have Started Callahan Pro Heating & Air Inc. with the mindset of being able to serve my community in an even larger capacity, where my goals are to serve in anyway necessary to preserve what I feel is the best place in the U.S. to raise a family! I am honored and blessed to have the opportunity to hopefully make a difference for the needs of West Nassau County!

Wade Faircloth is a lifelong resident of Callahan who has been a business owner for 6 years. His business is located just south of Callahan town limits on U.S. 1. Wade is a graduate of WNHS, Class of 2005. He is married to Ansley Faircloth and they have 3 children, Ava, Nolan, and Fallon. The family is active at Callahan First Baptist Church. Amy Mizell Green is a proud board member of the West Nassau Chamber of Commerce and the owner of Plantation Oaks Farms, a premier event venue located in Callahan, Florida. With a background in agriculture dating back to 1998, Amy brings over two decades of industry expertise and entrepreneurial leadership to her work and community involvement.
A graduate of the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Amy pursued higher education at both Texas Tech University and Auburn University, focusing her studies on animal science, business, and history. She earned her degree from Auburn University in 2005.
Amy serves as Seat Four on the Soil and Water Conservation District Board for Nassau County, where she helps support responsible land use and sustainability initiatives. In addition to her work in agriculture and business, she serves on several nonprofit organization boards throughout the county, demonstrating her strong commitment to community service and civic engagement.

Alicia Head is the Venue Manager for the Northeast Florida Fair, where she oversees year-round events, coordinates vendors and entertainment, manages facility rentals, and works to grow the fairgrounds into a vibrant community hub while preserving its small-town roots.
With deep roots in West Nassau County, Alicia is an advocate for small-town progress that respects tradition while pushing for smart, sustainable growth. Her work reflects a commitment to transparency, collaboration, and giving residents more reasons to be proud of where they live.

Paul Schwend owns Schwend Insurance in Callahan, beginning in 1981. He graduated from West Nassau High School, Class of 1977. He served on the original West Nassau Chamber board in the 1980s and 1990s, filling the role of president in 1992. He is a 1999 alumnus of Leadership Jacksonville. He co-founded CPR Jacksonville and the West Nassau Prayer Breakfast.
Paul was president of the West Nassau Jaycees in 1982 and served as supervisory chairman of Farmers Federal Credit Union from 1999-2009. He served on the Professional Insurance Agents of Florida as Board Member, Vice President 1998-1999. In 2019, he was inducted into Foremost Insurance Hall of Fame. He was later inducted into the West Nassau High School Hall of Fame in 2023.
Paul also serves on the Nassau County Economic Development Board, filling the role since 2020 and serving as chairman in 2024.
